Lino met Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore in 1988 and studied with him for the next two decades. He received the certificate to teach in 1994, the same year his research on the vinyasa system was published as Astanga Yoga — The Yoga of Breath, written under Guruji’s guidance.
He founded schools in Helsinki, Rome, Copenhagen, Milan, Buenos Aires and Montana, and returns to each of them every year.
The method
Breath draws in the energy, the bandhas contain it and direct it through the body, and the counting of the vinyasa keeps breath and movement in the same order.
